ABOUT
ABOUT
Our Story.
Bariatric Beat was an idea inspired by you, the patient. We know how difficult it is to embrace change; food is an incredibly personal and sensitive subject. We are here for you to make the transition to a full healthy lifestyle easier by offering insight directly from the experts.
A lifestyle covers more than just food - it’s your whole environment. The healthy lifestyle includes aspects of everyday life that you may not otherwise consider to be affected by eating habits. We cover all sorts of topics, including exercise, nutrition, digestive problems, supplements, skincare, anxiety, emotional eating, stress, and much more. We review products you may find useful and try to include deals on discounts we think could help. Furthermore, we spend a lot of time researching strategies to help you cope with the changes that this lifestyle brings, like the stress that comes with eating out with friends or going grocery shopping. Meal planning is also another aspect of the healthy lifestyle that takes time to embrace. We aim to simplify this by teaching you about cooking techniques, portion sizes, and other kitchen tricks. Our recipes are easy and cover your nutrient needs while keeping your meals low in fat and sugar. We get our ideas for articles directly from you; we listen to what your challenges are and try to address them in a creative and approachable way. Our goal is to take the unknown out of a healthy lifestyle and make it known to you. Life is a lot easier to manage when you are prepared for it.
We follow medical, nutritional, and health guidelines from the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), and the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
We have big plans in mind for what we can do for you and invite you to join us on our journey as we work towards making this lifestyle simple and easy to understand.
